Gastritis Cystica Produnda, Colitis Cystica Profunda - Report of two cases -

Abstract

|
Gastritis cystical profunda is a rare benign condition in which mature glandular epithelium extends into the tissue beneath the muscularis mucosa. It is an analogous to similar condition affecting the small and large intestine that are called,
respectively, enteritis and colitis cystica profunda. It is important that the lesion be differentiated from a mucus-producing adenocarcinoma.
The intially preferred therapy is local excision but actually, the only treatment that is uniformly effective is resection of affected bowel.
We report two cases of Gastritis cystica profunda and Colitis cystical profunda experienced recently.
